弗格森于斯德哥尔摩市中心的瓦萨坦（英语：Vasastan, Stockholm）区长大。她的母亲罗斯玛丽（Rosemary）是英国人，25岁搬到瑞典[1]。

13岁时，弗格森担任杂志模特，还参演化妆品、服饰和首饰的电视广告。

丽贝卡于1999年从斯德哥尔摩阿道夫·弗雷德里克音乐学院毕业（Adolf Fredrik's Music School）[2]。

儿子出生和肥皂剧作品大获成功后，她与男友搬到瑞典南部海岸的锡姆里斯港（英语：Simrishamn），她在那儿经营着一家阿根廷舞蹈室，还参演多个艺术短片项目[3]。
