机器人名人堂

机器人名人堂（英語：Robot Hall of Fame）是美国的一个名人堂，表彰科学领域和社会上的著名机器人，以及机器人学科技方面的成就。该组织由位于美国宾夕法尼亚州匹兹堡的卡内基·梅隆大学计算机科学学院（英语：Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science）于2003年成立，旨在表彰匹兹堡在机器人领域取得的成就，并使得人们认识到机器人在社会中的贡献。创建该名人堂的想法是由卡内基梅隆大学计算机科学学院的院长詹姆斯·H·莫里斯提出的，他认为这个名人堂应“表彰那些具有实际或潜在有用功能，并展示了真正技能的机器人，以及娱乐机器人和依靠小说成名的机器人。”[1]2003年11月10日，在卡内基科学中心举行了第一次入选典礼，有4个机器人入选[2]。2009年6月，卡内基科学中心举办了一场名为“机器人世界”的展览[3]。

从2003年到2010年，机器人名人堂的入选者都是由一个特定小组选出的[4]。公众也可以提名机器人，给机器人进入名人堂的机会，但提名者必须说明提名理由[1]。2012年，这一过程发生了重大变化。该名人堂对107家机器人领域的权威机构进行了调查，并将其分为四类：教育与消费、娱乐、工业与服务、研究[4]。每个类别中选出三个候选的机器人，之后通过在线投票系统，公众可以为这些候选机器人投票，最后从调查和投票结果中选出获胜的机器人[5][6]。机器人名人堂主任雪莉·萨尔达马科（Shirley Saldamarco）谈到这些变化时说[7]：

机器人技术和艺术正以越来越快的速度发展，因此机器人名人堂也必须更新换代。随着越来越多的学生、工人和消费者习惯于使用机器人，让公众在选择入选者时有发言权似乎是很自然的一步。
