巴里·佩珀

他是家中三个儿子中最小的，生于溫哥華島。父亲是名伐木工人^[1]。当他5岁时，他与家人开始乘坐自制的海船，在南太平洋中的岛屿间航行了5年^[1][2]。小学及中学是在斐济、大溪地和新西兰等地度过的。结束旅行后，他们回到加拿大在距离溫哥華島附近的 Denman Island 上经营一家商店。

他于1992年开始参演电视剧。因在1996年的电视电影《泰坦尼克号》的表演而引起了斯皮尔伯格的关注。随后他就出演了1998年斯皮尔伯格导演的《拯救大兵瑞恩》中的狙击手Daniel Jackson一角。

2011年因在电视剧《The Kennedys》中主演Robert F. Kennedy，为他赢得了艾美奖迷你剧或电视电影独立男主角奖。
