早年生活和教育编辑

1992年至1997年杰瑞德于1992年搬至洛杉矶追求演艺事业。他在电视节目Camp Wilder（1992年）中获得了第一个角色，在系列节目My So-Called Life（1994年）中获得正式角色，饰演Jordan Catalano。

他在2013年独立电影作品《达拉斯买家俱乐部》中的演出大受好评，并获得第71届金球奖、美国演员工会奖和第86届奥斯卡金像奖最佳男配角奖[3]。

2014年12月2日，華納兄弟宣布雷托將在《自殺突擊隊》中飾演小丑[4]。
